Welcome to my safe space for dumping whatever might be going in my head about tech, snow, or mountains! I’m John Guthman, a mid-twenties coder who loves clean, efficient code and time in the mountains. I got my start building scrappy little websites as a teenager, and now I work as a full-stack engineer, mostly in modern JavaScript frameworks and cloud infrastructure.

In the winter, you’ll usually find me on a snowboard whenever I can get away—often with a laptop in my backpack so I can push a few commits from a lodge between runs. Teammates describe me as detail-oriented but laid-back, mixing solid engineering practices with that easygoing “fresh-powder” mindset.
